Artem Demkov Suspended by Elmira Jackals

Elmira Jackals News Release
ELMIRA, N.Y. - January 19, 2013 - The Elmira Jackals announced today that they have suspended Artem Demkov who has left the team to sign a professional contract with a team in the German Elite League.
"It is unfortunate to lose a player of Artem's caliber. He chose to sign a more lucrative contract to play in Germany, and we wish him the best in the future. The Jackals will move forward without him. We will not let this change deter us from putting a competitive team on the ice with the ultimate goal of winning a Kelly Cup championship," said Jackals general manager Matt Hufnagel.
The Jackals return to action tonight when they pay a visit to the Reading Royals at the Sovereign Center. Faceoff is set for 7:05 p.m. and you can catch all of the action on the radio home of the Jackals, WEHH 1600 AM and 93.9 FM. The broadcast begins at 6:50 with the Jackals Pre-Game Show and can also be found online at www.1600wehh.com or www.b2tv.com.
The Jackals return home to face the Trenton Titans on Sunday, January 27 for a 4:05 p.m. tilt at First Arena. The Jackals will host their traditional Sunday Post-Game Skate with the Team. Call 607-734-7825 or visit www.jackalshockey.com to order your tickets.
