GREENVILLE, S.C. - Justin Bowers and Alex Belzile scored in the shootout, and Coyotes prospect Louis Domingue stood on his head to lead the Gladiators over the Greenville Road Warriors 4-3 Saturday night at the Bi-Lo Center.

With the win Gwinnett (26-15-1-1) moves into a tie atop the South Division with Greenville (25-14-2-2). Domingue was the difference, as he made several huge stops late in the third through overtime to keep the Gladiators alive. Domingue finished with 40 saves in regulation and turned aside four of five Road Warriors in the shootout.

Rangers prospect Scott Stajcer took the loss, making 36 saves.

Tied at two into the third, Gwinnett took the lead 2:43 into the period on a vicious Doug Jones snap shot from the far circle over Stajcer. Belzile and Sacha Guimond had the assists.

Greenville managed to draw even at 13:34 on the power play, as Brendan Connolly banked a shot off the blocker of Domingue and into the net.

Both teams had their chances in overtime, but play was forced to a shootout. Bowers scored in the first round against his former, but Brandon Wong tied the shootout in the third round.

Belzile put the Gladiators ahead in round four, sliding a shot under a sprawling Stajcer to give Gwinnett the edge, and Domingue denied Danny Hobbs to seal the 4-3 win.

Belzile was named the top star with a goal, assist, and the winning shootout tally. Guimond racked up three helpers on the night.

It was Belzile who opened the scoring just 27 seconds into the game, as he took a fantastic Guimond saucer pass and went top shelf on Stajcer for a 1-0 Gwinnett lead. The helper was Guimond's first point as a Gladiator since joining the team via trade from the San Francisco Bulls.

Greenville tied the game near the midway point of the second period. Forward Zach Cohen split the Gwinnett defense and slipped a quick wrist shot by Domingue.

The Gladiators regained the lead thanks to a little luck at the 18:36 mark. Casey Pierro-Zabotel threw a pass into the low slot in front of the Warriors net, and the puck shot off the skate of Greenville defenseman Steven Delisle and into the net. Corey Fienhage and Guimond were credited with the assists.

With just 47 seconds left in the middle period the Road Warriors were able to draw even, as a Bretton Cameron goal made it a 2-2 game to the third.

The same two teams go toe-to-toe with first place in the South Division on the line Monday at 12:30 p.m. at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.
