ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks have announced that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned defenseman Mark Fistric to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals.

Fistric, 28, made his season debut against Buffalo on October 22, but suffered a lower-back injury soon after and was out for 15 games. In nine games played with the Ducks, the Edmonton, Alberta native registered four penalty minutes. Fistric is a veteran of 325 NHL contests with Anaheim, Edmonton and Dallas, and has compiled a total of 34 points (four goals, 30 assists) as well as 284 penalty minutes. With the Ducks and Stars, the 6-foot-2, 225-pounder skated in 14 Stanley Cup Playoff games, going scoreless with 12 penalty minutes. Fistric has played in Norfolk before, appearing in two games in April of 2014.

The Admirals host the Charlotte Checkers tonight at 7:15 p.m. before wrapping up their homestand against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in a back-to-back this weekend.
