
Alex Petrovic Added to 2015 AHL All-Star Roster

SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 21, 2015) - The American Hockey League announced today that Rampage defenseman Alex Petrovic has been added to the Western Conference All-Star roster for the 2015 AHL All-Star Classic, which is set to take place Jan. 25-26 in Utica, N.Y. Additionally, the league announced that Rampage right wing Bobby Butler will be unable to attend.
This will be the first All-Star appearance for Petrovic, who has recorded three goals and 14 assists in 37 games for San Antonio this season. The 6-4, 206-pound Edmonton, AB native has collected nine goals and 38 assists in 140 career AHL games. A second-round draft pick (36th overall) of the Florida Panthers in 2010, he has played in 13 games with the NHL club, recording an assist and 33 penalty minutes.
The 2015 AHL All-Star Classic will take place Jan. 25-26, with the AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Sunday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. (CT) and the All-Star Game being played on Monday, Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. (CT) at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. The Western Conference All-Stars will be coached by Utica's Travis Green and Chicago coach John Anderson.
The Rampage hit the road for a pair of games against the Lake Erie Monsters on Thursday and Saturday. Saturday's game can be seen live on Fox Sports Southwest beginning at 6 p.m. San Antonio returns home on Jan. 30 against the Charlotte Checkers.
