
Canadiens Assign Christian Thomas to Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QUE. - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs general manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have assigned forward Christian Thomas to the Bulldogs.
Thomas has split this season between the Canadiens and Bulldogs. In three games with Montreal, he has recorded no points or penalty minutes. In 29 games with Hamilton, he has recorded 14 points (nine goals, five assists) and 10 penalty minutes.
In six career National Hockey League regular season games with the Canadiens and New York Rangers, the 5-9, 179-pound forward has recorded no points or penalty minutes. In 162 career American Hockey League regular season games with the Bulldogs and Connecticut Whale, the Toronto, Ont. native has recorded 78 points (40 goals, 38 assists) and 47 penalty minutes.
The 22-year-old was originally selected by the Rangers in the second round (40th overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by the Canadiens from the Rangers in exchange for forward Danny Kristo on July 2, 2013.
The Bulldogs will be back in action on Friday, Jan. 23 when they'll host the Toronto Marlies at FirstOntario Centre at 7:30 p.m.
