Anaheim Ducks Recall Left Wing Josh Green

Syracuse, NY (October 29, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have recalled left wing Josh Green.

Green, 32, has appeared in all seven games for the Crunch this season, recording three points (1g, 2a) and six penalty minutes. His only goal was an overtime game-winner on October 23 at Hartford. Over the course of his 14-year professional career, Green has skated in 273 combined AHL games with the Crunch, Fredericton, Springfield, Lowell (Lock Monsters), Hamilton, Manitoba and Iowa since 1997-98, registering 184 points (84g, 100a) and 273 penalty minutes.

In addition, Green has also appeared in 322 career NHL games with Los Angeles, NY Islanders, Edmonton, NY Rangers, Washington, Calgary, Vancouver and Anaheim, notching 74 points (35g, 39a) and 193 penalty minutes.

Prior to turning pro, Green appeared in 282 combined Western Hockey League (WHL) contests with Medicine Hat, Swift Current and Portland, racking up 278 points (142g, 136a) and 292 penalty minutes. A native of Camrose, Alberta, Green was selected by Los Angeles in the second round, 30th overall, in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. He was signed by Anaheim as a free agent on July 12, 2010.
