HERSHEY kicked off three games in three nights Friday in Syracuse, rallying from a two-goal deficit to post a 4-3 overtime win at the War Memorial at OnCenter.

A team that averaged just over 17 shots a game this season coming into Friday's action, Syracuse fired 16 first period shots at HERSHEY goaltender Dany Sabourin, cashing in on a power play goal from Nicolas Deschamps.

The goal at 15:47 of the first gave Syracuse a 1-0 lead, an advantage the home team took to intermission.

Into the second period, the Crunch took a 2-0 lead when Luca Sbisa scored his second goal of the season at 8:07.

A pass across to Sbisa from Nick Bonino gave the Crunch a two-goal advantage, but HERSHEY would cut the lead in half before intermission.

Brian Willsie scored his fourth goal of the season on a second effort at 17:54 from Andrew Gordon and Keith Aucoin to cut the Crunch lead to 2-1 heading to the third.

The BEARS would strike quickly in the final frame, picking up goals from Boyd Kane and Lawrence Nycholat just 24 seconds apart inside of the first six minutes to take a 3-2 lead.

Kane's lamp-lighter was his second of the season, while Nycholat earned his first of the campaign.

Syracuse would score a five-on-three power play goal late from Kyle Palmieri with four minutes remaining to tie the game at three, setting up sudden death overtime.

In the four-on-four, Kane fired a right circle shot past J.P. Levasseur for his second of the game and third of the season.

The OT tally came 1:43 into extra time, and the BEARS escaped Syracuse with a one-goal win.

Sabourin won his first game in a BEARS uniform, making 37 saves.
