* Tonight is another Dollar Beers, Dollar Dogs night from 6-8 p.m. while supplies last, and fans can take advantage of the College Night and D-Zone promotions. For complete promotional information, visit griffinshockey.com .

* A pair of familiar faces return to Van Andel Arena tonight. Oklahoma City head coach Todd Nelson was the first player signed by the Griffins franchise back in 1996 and went on to play 236 games for the club. In addition, Barons left wing Alexandre Giroux was an Ottawa Senators prospect who turned pro with the Griffins in 2001 and has been one of the most decorated AHL players in recent years, winning back-to-back Calder Cups with Hershey. He led the league in goals each of the last two seasons and was named the AHL's MVP in 2008-09.

* On Saturday, the first 5,000 fans will receive a Griffins Rally Towel, presented by Play N Trade Alpine, while another 5,000 will receive a Griffins 2010-11 Clingz schedule as they exit the arena. Fans are invited to wear their Halloween best for a costume party and contest, take part in a Huntington post-game autograph session with Sergei Kolosov and Jordan Owens, and bring their blades for a post-game open skate. * The Moose are 0-2 against Grand Rapids and 4-0 versus the rest of the AHL, following the Griffins' two-game sweep at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg on Oct. 15-16.
