FOR ALTOONA:
RHP Mike Crotta will be on the mound Altoona. It will be his ninth start of the season and his second career start against the Trenton Thunder. Crotta made his Double-A debut against the Thunder on 7/4/07 at Waterfront Park in a spot-start for the Altoona Curve. In his last start, Crotta received a no-decision on 5/23 in game one of a double-header against Reading where he allowed just one earned run over 5.0 innings of work...The Curve are 4-4 in games that Crotta starts.
FOR TRENTON:
A member of New York's 40-man roster, left-hander Wilkin De La Rosa will make his fifth Double-A start of the season. De La Rosa started the season with Tampa (A-Advanced) and was promoted after three starts (1-0, 1.29). De La Rosa was originally signed by the Yankees as a non-drafted free agent in 2001 and was a former position player who first took the mound professionally in 2007. As a position player for the first five seasons as a pro, De La Rosa hit a combined .224 with just three home runs in 287 career games. De La Rosa is ranked by Baseball America as New York's 19th Best Prospect.
LAST TIME OUT:
Starter Yoslan Herrea improved his record to 3-0 on the season after he tossed 6.0 shutout innings in a 3-1 win on Thursday afternoon at Blair County Ballpark.
CURVE/TRENTON SERIES:
The Altoona Curve and Trenton Thunder will meet for the first time this season. Altoona and Trenton are scheduled for nine meetings this season, including six at Blair County Ballpark. Last year, the Curve was 7-10 against the Thunder, including a mark of 5-5 at Waterfront Park.
âPEN OUT OF INK? A usually solid Curve bullpen has stumbled recently. The Curve bullpen has given up 43 runs in 48.2 innings for an 7.95 ERA.

The Altoona Curve starting rotation has been as solid as it's been all season. Over the last eight games, Curve starters have only allowed 11 earned runs in 46.0 innings pitched (2.15 ERA)
TABATA, WATSON TO FLORIDA:
Two players currently on the Disabled List -- OF Jose Tabata and LHP Tony Watson -- are currently in Bradenton, FL at the Pirates' extended spring training facility rehabbing their injuries. There is no hard timetable as to when either will return.
