Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder and the NJ Watershed Ambassadors Program, an AmeriCorps program hosted by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Watershed Management, will conclude the third year of partnership on Sunday, May 31 with an on-field ceremony prior to the game against the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates).

The Trenton Thunder Clean Water Pledge Program has helped educate students about water pollution and rewards them for making a "Pledge" to live in a more environmentally sound way.

Sunday's presentation on the field features students who participated in the in-school workshops who will read the "Clean Water Pledge" at approximately 12:40 PM on Sunday.

During Sunday's game, Jason Hirst, Americorps member, and Toni Heater, with NJ DEP's Clean Water NJ, are going to have a table in the concourse where they will run demonstrations and activities and also hand out free information about our water resources.

In addition, Sunday's game is "Bark at the Park" presented by Dogs & Cats Rule. Fans are encouraged to bring their well-behaved dogs with them to the game. Pet-friendly vendors will exhibit on the concourse and there will be a post-game "Canine Cash Scramble". Dogs who are small enough to sit on their owners lap do not need a ticket. Owners with larger dogs that require more space, will have to purchase a seat for their canine.

The Thunder have announced that all kids will eat for free at Waterfront Park all season long. All children with a ticket, ages 12 and under, will receive a voucher upon entering the ballpark good for a free hot dog, bag of potato chips and a 12 oz. fountain soda at all 71 Thunder home games this season.

The Thunder are the only team in Minor League Baseball history at the Double A Level or below to draw over 400,000 fans for 14 consecutive seasons and have draw over 6 million in attendance in its 15-year history.
