Allen Americans News Release
Allen, Texas - The ECHL Kelly Cup Champion Allen Americans announced today the club will hold an Adopt-an-American Program this season, that will kick off next weekend following the Americans game on Saturday, November 5th against the Alaska Aces.
When was the last time you had the opportunity to add an MVP to your family tree? Want to adopt the ECHL Playoff's all-time winningest goalie? What about providing a little love and support to an up-and-comer pursuing his NHL dream?
This program will give fans unparalleled access to get to know the players on a personal level and be involved with the team throughout the season.
Fans will bid by live auction for the right to adopt each player of the team, with no limit to the number of players an individual family can adopt. Winning bidders will receive a host of benefits available exclusively to members of the Adopt-an-American program which include:
o Family Events :
- Family dinner in December
- Family game night in January
- Skate with the family in February
- Family cookout in March
o A Specialty Jersey . The Americans will wear a one-time specialty jersey in March with the both the Players name and the adopting family's name prominently displayed.
o A Family Ceremony on the ice after the game where each family will be recognized and presented with the game worn jersey by their player.
o A Framed Family Photo taken during the post-game ceremony.
You only have one chance to bring an American into your family this season, and it happens Saturday November 5th following the game. If you don't have your tickets yet, you can purchase them at 972.912.1000 or ticketmaster.com .
**Should an adopted player be traded or waived during the season, the family will adopt either the player received in the trade, or the next player on the roster. Some events may be limited to four members of the adopted family. Proxy bids available, call Tom Manning at the Americans for details.
