
Oilers Remain Undefeated for Best Start Ever

TULSA, OK - The Tulsa Oilers defeated the Indy Fuel 3-2 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum Friday. The Oilers' second win this season against the Fuel gives them their fist 6-0 record in franchise history.
The Tulsa Oilers scored in the first minute for the second game in a row. Forward Christophe Lalancette put the puck top shelf with a wrist shot from the middle of the right circle 41 seconds into the game Lalancette's goal was unassisted and was the only goal scored in the first period.
Scoring resumed at the 4:13 mark of the second period when Danick Paquette scored on a backhand shot from the high slot. Captain Nolan Julseth-White assisted on Paquette's second goal of the season. Phil Brewer scored what would become the game-wining goal just over six minutes into the period. Brewer's first goal of the season came on an unassisted breakaway.
Indy would get back into the game at the 7:22 mark of the third period when Marek Tvrdon scored on the power play. Alex Wideman and Nick Mattson assisted Tvrdon's tally. Halfway through the final period Patrick D'Amico buried a pass that came from Martin Bellus. Bellus' pass came from came from behind the net and gave D'Amico his first goal of the season. Jamie Phillips stood tall the rest of the game, thwarting the chance of an Indy comeback. Phillips' play earned him first-star honors.
Tulsa will travel to Moline, Illinois on Saturday to take on the Quad City Mallards at 7:05 p.m. The game can be listened to at TulsaOilers.com or on ECHL.TV.
