Albany Releases Two From PTOs

ALBANY, NY - The Albany River Rats announced today that on Monday they released left wing Patrick Bordeleau and defenseman Brad Zanon from their professional tryout contracts.

Bordeleau, 22, appeared in three games for the River Rats, making his AHL debut on Friday, December 5th against Norfolk, where he recorded one assist for his first career AHL point. The Montreal, Quebec native also racked up 14 penalty minutes in Albany's games this past weekend. Zanon, 25, made his AHL debut with the River Rats on Sunday in Rochester and finished the game with no points and an even plus/minus rating. Both players have been returned to the Florida Everblades, the ECHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes.

Albany will complete a three-game road stretch on Friday, December 12th as they head to New Hampshire for a 7:30 pm face off against the Manchester Monarchs at Verizon Wireless Arena. The River Rats next home game is set for Saturday, December 13th as they host the Binghamton Senators for a 7:00 pm face off at the Times Union Center.
