Canucks trade Sharrow to Blackhawks

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have traded defenceman Jimmy Sharrow to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a conditional draft pick.

Sharrow, 23, appeared in 61 games over two seasons with the Moose. So far this season, the Framingham, MA native has scored six points (1-5-6) and four penalty minutes. Over two seasons, he has 28 points (6-22-28) and 30 penalty minutes. Sharrow has played in 150 career games in the American Hockey League with Manitoba and the Chicago Wolves where he's collected 65 points (12-53-65) and 85 penalty minutes.

Sharrow was originally drafted by Atlanta in the fourth round, 110th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by the Canucks from Atlanta on June 23/07 in exchange for Jesse Schultz.
