Reign goaltender, Kellen Briggs, and the Reign special teams were the story all weekend long, and that was again the case on Sunday. Both Reign goals came on the power play. Dusty Collins scored on a rebound 44 seconds into the second period to break a scoreless tie. Then David Walker scored on a five-on-three power play at 16:50 of the third to make it 2-0. The Aces pulled their goaltender, and got within one when Wes Goldie scored his third in the last two games at 19:20. But the Aces could not extend the game any further, and the Reign held on for their third straight win.

Adam Courchaine (2-1) made 18 saves on 20 shots in his home debut, taking the loss. Kellen Briggs (4-5-1) earned the win, with 30 saves on 31 shots. He stopped 99 of 104 shots against this weekend. The Aces power play went 0-3, while the Reign went 2-4 as well. The Aces outshot the Reign 31-20, and 104-52 overall on the weekend.

Prior to the game, defenseman Chad Anderson was returned to the Aces after being loaned to Lake Erie of the American Hockey League, and was in the lineup on Sunday.

The Aces now hit the road for a four-state, eight-game, three-week road trip through Utah, Elmira, Trenton, and Idaho, beginning next Friday night in Salt Lake City. The Aces will return home to host the Victoria Salmon Kings on Wednesday, December 8th. For more information, please call the Aces at 907.258.ACES or visit them online at www.alaskaaces.com.
