On Thursday, Brian Salcido and Ryan Dingle each posted a goal and an assist to lead Iowa past Houston, 5-3... In Wednesday's action, David Laliberte notched a hat trick and an assist as Philadelphia doubled up Albany, 6-3... Rob Klinkhammer put up three points (1-2-3) in Rockford's 5-2 win at Lake Erie... Patrick Traverse netted an overtime goal to push Worcester past Springfield, 3-2... Manny Legace posted a 30-save shutout as Peoria took a 3-0 win over Chicago at Carver Arena.

LOOKING AHEAD:
Syracuse and Rockford clash on Friday in a battle of Western Conference fourth-place teams... The clubs have not met since the Crunch took a 3-2 win in Rockford on Nov. 1... The Crunch have won eight of their last 11 overall (8-3-0-0) and six of their last seven at home (6-1-0-0)... Alexandre Picard racked up 13 goals and 16 points in 15 games for Syracuse during the month of March... Ex-IceHog Michael Blunden shows three goals and five points in his last two tilts for Syracuse... Crunch leading scorer Mike York (11-45-56) is on a four-game scoring streak (1-3-4)... The IceHogs, 5-2-0-0 in their last seven games, are three points up on Iowa for fourth in the West... Adam Pineault, who arrived in Rockford in the deal that landed Blunden in Syracuse, spent his first 160 career AHL games in a Crunch uniform... Rob Klinkhammer is riding a four-game scoring streak (2-4-6) for the IceHogs.
Portland and Lowell wrap up their season series on Friday at Tsongas Arena in a pivotal Atlantic Division battle. The Pirates - winners of four straight over the Devils - are tied with Worcester for third place, and Lowell is four points back of that duo for a playoff spot... Portland's Tim Kennedy (4-6-10) and Mathieu Darche (2-8-10) each show 10 points in nine games against Lowell this season... Marek Zagrapan has registered nine points (4-5-9) in his last six contests, and defenseman Marc-Andre Gragnani is on a four-game scoring run (2-3-5)... The Devils have won three of their last four home contests... Nicklas Bergfors has six goals and 12 points in nine games against Portland for the campaign... Devils rookie goaltender Jeff Frazee shows a 1.42 GAA and a .959 save percentage in his last seven outings.
Both currently five points out of a playoff spot with five games to play, Chicago and Quad City clash on Friday at the I Wireless Center... The Flames bring a five-game points streak (4-0-0-1) into the contest, while the Wolves are just 3-7-1-1 in their last 12 outings... Four of the teams' first seven meetings have extended beyond regulation, and all seven have been decided by one goal... Chicago rookie Spencer Machacek averaged a point per game (5-7-12) in March for the Wolves... Brett Sterling has a team-high seven points (3-4-7) against Quad City this year... Carsen Germyn has a point in nine of his last 10 contests (5-5-10) for the Flames, who are in the midst of a five-game homestand... Kyle Greentree ranks second in the AHL with 36 goals in 74 games (36-33-69), including the overtime winner against the Wolves on Mar. 25.

Al Montoya won his first two career NHL starts for Phoenix this week, including a shutout of Colorado in his debut on Wednesday... Also Wednesday, AHL scoring leader Keith Aucoin tallied his first NHL goal of the season to help Washington past the N.Y. Islanders, 5-3.
