On Thursday, rookie Kevin Porter scored 40 seconds into overtime to give San Antonio a 3-2 win over Peoria... In Wednesday's action, Rivermen goaltender Manny Legace posted a 45-save shutout in a 1-0 win over the Rampage... Colin Murphy netted a pair of goals as Portland dropped Manchester, 5-2... Janne Pesonen scored twice in regulation and once in the shootout to lead Wilkes-Barre/Scranton past Philadelphia, 3-2.

LOOKING AHEAD:
Rockford and Iowa square off at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines on Friday in a pivotal game for both teams' playoff hopes... The IceHogs are one point back of Chicago for the division's final guaranteed postseason spot, while the Chops are five points back... Each club has taken four wins in the season series thus far... Chops defenseman Brian Salcido has 3-8-11 in eight games against Rockford this season, while T.J. Trevelyan has scored seven goals vs. the IceHogs... Iowa captain Ajay Baines has a point in five straight games (2-5-7), and Chad Painchaud is on a four-game run (3-2-5)... Rockford is wrapping up a stretch of playing 16 of 22 games on the road... Rookie Pete MacArthur has three goals in his last two games, and captain Tim Brent shows four points (1-3-4) in that span... Pascal Pelletier, who leads the IceHogs with 27 goals (27-24-51), has rejoined the team after missing six games to NHL recall.
One point out of a playoff spot in the Atlantic Division, Worcester opens a stretch of four straight and eight of 10 on the road in Bridgeport on Friday... The Sharks and Sound Tigers split a pair of games in Worcester earlier this season and haven't met since Nov. 29... Fourth-year pro Tom Cavanagh is riding a seven-game scoring streak (4-5-9) for the Sharks, matching his career high... Defenseman Patrick Traverse is on a four-game scoring run (1-4-5), and leading scorer Ryan Vesce (22-46-68) has a point in four of five (2-3-5)... Ex-Shark Mike Iggulden leads Bridgeport with 58 points (23-35-58) and is back with the team after posting his first five career NHL points in six games with the parent N.Y. Islanders... Junior Lessard is on a five-game scoring streak (3-2-5) for the Sound Tigers... Bridgeport enters the weekend in a second-place tie with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in the East Division, one point back of Hershey for the top spot.
North Division rivals Toronto and Grand Rapids conclude their season series with a two-game weekend set at Van Andel Arena... The Marlies bring a three-game winning streak to West Michigan, while the Griffins have dropped their last two games, both at home... Marlies forward Jeremy Williams has put up 10 goals (10-5-15) in 14 games since returning from the parent Maple Leafs... Tim Stapleton has a point in five of his last six games (3-3-6)... Jiri Tlusty has racked up 2-9-11 in five games against the Griffins this year... Grand Rapids' Justin Abdelkader ranks third among AHL rookies in goals (22) and points (48)... Darren Haydar has a point in 11 of his last 12 tilts (6-13-19)... The Griffins and Marlies are tied for the AHL's third-best power play (20.6 percent); Grand Rapids boasts the league's top penalty kill (86.8 percent).

Drew Miller, recalled earlier in the day from Iowa, netted a goal as Anaheim edged Phoenix, 3-2 in a shootout... T.J. Galiardi suited up in Colorado's game against Edmonton, becoming the fourth Lake Erie skater in the last 10 days to make his NHL debut.
