LOOKING BACK:
In Wednesday's action, former Bear Marc Denis registered a 37-save shutout as Hamilton blanked high-powered Hershey, 6-0... Ondrej Pavelec made 35 saves for his second shutout of the season in Chicago's 6-0 win over Providence... Jared Ross found the net in overtime for his first goal of the season as Philadelphia edged Norfolk, 5-4... Steve Mason made 32 saves in his pro debut as Syracuse took a 2-1 shootout decision in Grand Rapids.

LOOKING AHEAD:
The AHL's two hottest teams square off Friday night when Manitoba brings its five-game winning streak to the MetroCentre to take on Rockford, winners of six in a row... Second-year forward Michael Grabner has three goals in his last two games for the Moose and a team-high four on the season (4-1-5)... Michel Ouellet paces Manitoba with seven points (2-5-7) but has been held scoreless in his last two outings... Petri Kontiola leads the IceHogs with five goals (5-4-9), four of which have come on the power play... Rockford goaltender Antti Niemi is 4-1-0 (1.56, .951) to begin his North American career... The IceHogs boast the league's top-ranked power play (26.0 percent), but the Moose rank first in penalty killing (90.0%).
An East Division battle pits Bridgeport at Binghamton for games Friday and Saturday... The Sound Tigers (5-2-0-1) enter one point up on the Senators (4-1-1-1) for second place in the division... Mike Iggulden shows a team-high five goals and nine points for the Sound Tigers... Tim Jackman has scored in his last two games, and Sean Bentivoglio has a goal in two of his last three outings... Bridgeport goaltender Peter Mannino leads the league in both GAA (0.65) and save percentage (.980) through three outings (2-0-1)... Ryan Shannon has a four-game scoring streak (2-3-5) for the B-Sens and leads the team with seven points overall (3-4-7)... Rookie Zack Smith sports a team-high five goals (5-1-6) but is without a point in his last two games... Josh Hennessy posted 10 points (2-8-10) in eight games vs. Bridgeport last year.
Winners of three straight games, Hartford continues a seven-game homestand Friday when Worcester visits the XL Center... The Wolf Pack's last loss came at the hands of the Sharks, a 5-4 shootout decision in Worcester on Oct. 22... Cory Larose, who played for the Wolf Pack from 2002-04, scored the tying goal in regulation and the clinching goal in the shootout for Worcester in that one... Ryan Vesce, a former AHL All-Star, is pacing the Sharks with five points (1-4-5)... Fourth-year forward Tom Cavanagh racked up a team-high six points (3-3-6) in eight games against Hartford last season... Artem Anisimov leads the Wolf Pack with six points (1-5-6) and has found the scoresheet in four of his last five outings... Dane Byers shows a team-high four goals and posted a goal and a helper against the Sharks in the first meeting.
