
Admirals Sign Goaltender Zane Kalemba To Tryout

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals have signed goaltender Zane Kalemba to an Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO).
Kalemba, 24, is a 5-foot-11, 185-pound goaltender from Saddle Brook, New Jersey. He recently completed a four-year collegiate hockey career at Princeton University. This season with the Tigers, he posted an 8-12-3 record with a 3.19 goals-against average and.898 save percentage. Over the course of his collegiate career, Kalemba posted a 57-44-5 record in 108 games with a 2.46 goals-against average and.912 save percentage. He is Princeton's all-time career leader in games played, save percentage, wins and shutouts.
Last season was a banner year for Kalemba as he went 22-10-1 with a 1.82 goals-against average and.932 save percentage, setting Princeton single-season records for wins, goals-against average and save percentage. He was named ECAC and Ivy League Player of the Year, earned first team All-ECAC and All-Ivy Honors, was a second-team All-American and became the second Hobey Baker Award nominee in Princeton's school history.
The Admirals will battle the Bridgeport Sound Tigers tonight and tomorrow night at Scope. Both games begin at 7:15 p.m..
