Admirals Sign Defenseman Dave Cowan To Tryout

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals announced today that they have signed defenseman Dave Cowan to an Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO).

Cowan, a 24-year-old, 6-foot-4, 205-pound defenseman from Calgary, Alberta, recently completed his collegiate hockey career at Robert Morris University. He posted one goal and six points in 30 games during his senior year while serving as team captain for the Colonials. In his 111-game collegiate career, Cowan scored three goals and 24 points.

The Admirals will play their final three road games of the 2009-10 regular season this weekend as they visit Albany tomorrow, Binghamton on Saturday and Hershey on Sunday.

The Admirals will conclude their 2009-10 regular season with a three-game homestand beginning next Wednesday against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
