(Rochester, NY)... The American Hockey League announced today the 2009-10 AHL First and Second All-Star Teams, as voted by AHL coaches, players and media in each of the league's 29 member cities. Among those honored is Rochester Americans defenseman Clay Wilson, who has been named to the 2009-10 AHL Second All-Star Team.

Wilson has averaged a point per game since the calendar turned to 2010 and currently ranks second among AHL defensemen with a career-high 60 points (14-46-60) in 73 games, good for second on the Americans in scoring. Wilson is tied for the league lead among defensemen with 32 points on the power play and has put together 16 multiple-point performances on the season. He is first on the team and ninth in the league with 46 assists, in addition to leading his club with 185 shots on goal. He also has a team-best 24 assists on the power-play this season, good enough for second in the AHL in that category. The Sturgeon Lake, Minn., native has helped Rochester back to the playoffs following a two-year absence.
Each All-Star Team member will receive a custom designed crystal award in recognition of his selection to the 2009-10 AHL First and Second All-Star Teams.
