Aces Outlast Wranglers, 2-1

Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers fell 2-1 to the Alaska Aces this evening, finishing the weekend series with a 1-2-0 record.

Wranglers goalie Mitch O'Keefe and Aces goalie Olivier Roy held the first period scoreless, with Alaska outshooting Vegas 15-7. Aces left wing Jordan Kremyr posted the first goal of the game 8:27 into the second, giving the home team the 1-0 lead.

With one second left on a Wranglers power play opportunity, forward Matt Tassone beat Roy to even the contest 1-1. The tie was short-lived as Aces defenseman Kane Lafranchise scored six seconds into his team's power play 1:14 later. The 2-1 advantage for Alaska carried into the third, and another scoreless period secured the one-goal victory for the Aces. O'Keefe made 37 saves in the loss after winning his first game in Alaska on Friday night.

The Wranglers being a three-game series against the Colorado Eagles on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 6:05 p.m. After finishing five weeks on the road, the Wranglers return home on Friday, Dec. 6, to face the Bakersfield Condors. After that game, The Smithereens will perform in the team's first post-game concert series.
