Colorado Eagles Triumph over the Utah Grizzlies 4-2

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The Colorado Eagles triumphed over the Utah Grizzlies 4-2 at the Maverick Center on Saturday night. Utah goaltender Igor Bobkov stopped 17 of Colorado's 20 shots while Eagles net minder Marc Cheverie turned away 25 of the Grizzlies 27 shots-on-goal. Cheverie has yet to suffer a regulation loss.

Utah forward Kris Hogg notched the first goal, 15:27 into the first frame to put the Grizzlies up 1-0.

Colorado Eagles forward Kevin Ulanski scored his fifth goal of the season, assisted by rookie defenseman Daniel Johnston to tie the game at 1-1, 4:23 into the second. Just over three minutes later, Eagles forward Greg Gardner scored the Eagles first shorthanded goal of the season to give Colorado the 2-1 lead. Forward Rylan Gallardi tied the game again, 2-2, with a power play goal for the Grizzlies.

Eagles veteran forward and captain, Riley Nelson, capitalized on a power play 3:33 into the third to give the Eagles the 3-2 lead. Colorado forward Ray Sawada notched a goal on Utah's empty net to pump the Eagles lead and end the game at 4-2.
