Aces Acquire Milhouse from Wranglers
February 5, 2011 - ECHL (ECHL)
Alaska Aces News Release
The Alaska Aces have acquired forward, Jonathan Milhouse from the Las Vegas Wranglers in exchange for future considerations, Head Coach Brent Thompson announced on Saturday. Milhouse will join the Aces on Saturday evening in Victoria and is expected to be in Alaska's lineup as they conclude their three-game set with the Salmon Kings. Fans can visit the Aces at their Facebook page for more information, or call the Aces at 907.258.ACES.
Milhouse, 22, is in first pro season, and returns to Victoria where he made his pro debut earlier this year. The native of Yorba Linda, CA played in five games for the Salmon Kings prior to landing in Las Vegas. The 5'10", 175 lbs. forward had three goals and an assist in 18 games with Las Vegas. He registered his first professional point while playing with Las Vegas on the road in Victoria. His first pro goal was scored on Jan. 16th against the Aces, and he tallied the following game versus Alaska as well. Milhouse's ties to Victoria run deeper than just his pro career. He spent parts of two seasons playing junior hockey in the BCHL for the Victoria Grizzlies. Last season in the BCHL, he had 53 points (19g, 34a) in 56 games for the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL, finishing fifth on the team in scoring. He will wear #61 on Saturday in his Aces debut.
The Aces are in Victoria on Saturday night to end a three-game with the rival Salmon Kings. They will return home to host the Stockton Thunder for three games on Feb. 11th, 12th, and 13th. Tickets for all three games are on sale. For more information, please call the Aces at 907.258.ACES or visit their Facebook page.
