December 3, 2008 - ECHL (ECHL)
South Carolina Stingrays News Release
North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays announced today that in their continued community efforts President Darren Abbott and owner Anita Zucker will be participating in the annual "Principal for a Day" program on Thursday, Dec. 4.
Abbott will be shadowing the principal at Midland Park Elementary School and Zucker will be shadowing at Stall High School.
The "Principal for a Day" program was established five years ago in the Charleston County School District and has since expanded to Berkeley and Dorchester counties. Its purpose is to enable business executives to experience a day at school from the principal's perspective and learn first hand about the challenges and strengths involved in leading a public school.
Come out to the Stingrays next home game on Saturday, Dec. 6 against the Charlotte Checkers. It's the Annual Teddy Bear Toss for Debbie's Kids. Please bring a new, un-wrapped teddy bear or other stuffed animal to throw on the ice after the Stingrays score their first goal. Saturday is also FREE PARKING!
The Stingrays are now offering the Pick 6 Plan. Pick any six Stingrays games for the price of five. Call 744-2248 for more information.
