Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers ® (42-12-11, 96 Points) defeated the Alaska Aces (38-23-5, 81 Points) 4-3 on Friday night in front of 7,427 fans at the Orleans Arena. Forward Aki Seitsonen completed the hat trick with 16-seconds remaining to lift Las Vegas over Alaska. Forward Peter Ferraro also scored as the team lowered its magic number down to seven to clinch the National Conference and Pacific Division. Goalie Daniel Manzato stopped 20 of 23 Aces shots, improving to 23-5-6. Alaska's Chris Beckford-Tseu had a shutout string of 107:30 ended in the loss, stopping 24 of 28 Wranglers shots. Las Vegas will host Phoenix on Sunday at 5:05 pm.

Alaska jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead with goals by center Olivier Filion and defenseman Matt Shasby. Filion gave Alaska a 1-0 lead at 15:04 of the opening period. Forward Josh Soares extended his scoring streak to 11 games with an assist on the goal. At 16:46, Shasby poked in a rebound for his eighth goal of the season and a 2-0 Aces lead.

In the middle period, Las Vegas trimmed the Aces lead to one goal with Seitsonen's first goal of the night at 17:45. The Wranglers forward snapped a high-slot shot past Alaska's Chris Beckford-Tseu for his 12th goal of the year. The goal broke Beckford-Tseu's shutout streak of Las Vegas (dating back to Tuesday night) at 107:30.

Just 2:09 into the final period, the Wranglers tied the game 2-2 with Peter Ferraro's 33rd goal of the season. The Wranglers captain snapped in a shot before the Aces net was dislodged. Ryan Donally and Adam Miller (first career point) assisted on the game-tying goal. Seitsonen scored his second goal of the night and 13th of the season at 4:43, giving the Wranglers a 3-2 lead. The Aces countered to tie the game 3-3 at 10:44. Defenseman Derek Martin sprung Kimbi Daniels on a breakaway for his 24th goal of the year. The Wranglers were shorthanded down the stretch of the game with a bench minor called at 18:12. After Las Vegas cleared the puck the length of the ice, Beckford-Tseu misplayed the puck and turned it over to Seitsonen. The second-year Wrangler completed his first career hat trick with 16-seconds remaining, giving Las Vegas a 4-3 victory.

The Wranglers will host Phoenix on Sunday night at 5:05 pm to wrap up a nine-game home stand. The Wranglers will then embark on a three-game road trip with stops in Utah, Fresno and Phoenix.
