Owen Sound Attack News Release
With the 2025-26 OHL season fast approaching, the Owen Sound Attack are excited to officially announce their pre-season schedule, highlighting two neutral site games to local communities supporting local hockey organizations.
This year's exhibition push begins Sunday, August 31st as the Attack will host to the North Bay Battalion in Collingwood. The puck is scheduled to drop for 2:00PM at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena, home to the Collingwood Blues (OJHL), Collingwood Jr. Blues Minor Hockey and the Collingwood Lightning Girls Hockey group.
Moving forward, the Attack will head to Barrie on Monday September 1st, followed by a game in Brampton the following September Friday 5th. The team will return to "home" ice Sunday September 7th for another matchup against the Barrie Colts at Port Elgin's Plex. The game is set for 2:00PM at the neutral site. Owen Sound will also be teaming up with the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks (WOAA Sr. AA), along with Saugeen Storm Minor Hockey, Bruce Grey Bulls and the Lake Huron Lightning to make the even a success.
"We are beginning work with the Collingwood Blue and Saugeen Winterhawks and the various minor hockey organizations in both Collingwood and Port Elgin in preparation for our games at the end of August and early September," said Greg Hoddinott, the Attack's Manager of Marketing & Communications. "The renovation at the Bayshore has provided us with another great opportunity to bring Owen Sound Attack and OHL hockey inot other regions that wouldn't traditionally get a live game in their facility, which is always exciting. We are looking forward to working with these groups and helping them impact their fundraising and revenue goals as we team up for our neutral site pre-season games at their venues."
The Attack's pre-season will wrap up Saturday, September 13th, when Owen Sound will travel to North Bay for a 4:00PM tilt against the Battalion.
