Madris Ties Game with Homer in Ninth, Memphis Loses in Extras
April 16, 2026 - MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds continued a six-game series against the Gwinnett Stripers (Triple-A, Atlanta Braves) with a 4-2 extra-inning loss on Thursday night at AutoZone Park.
First baseman Bligh Madris tied the game with a two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Center fielder Colton Ledbetter drew the first Memphis walk of the game to lead off the frame. The Redbirds finished the loss 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position.

April 15, 2026 - MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds continued a six-game series against the Gwinnett Stripers (Triple-A, Atlanta Braves) with a 10-3 loss on Wednesday afternoon at AutoZone Park.
Starting pitcher Quinn Mathews tossed 5.0 scoreless innings and struck out a season-high eight batters in the loss. MLB Rehabbing Matt Pushard worked a scoreless sixth inning in his first appearance. The Memphis bullpen then allowed seven two-out runs in the seventh inning to flip control.

April 14, 2026 - MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds opened a six-game series against the Gwinnett Stripers (Triple-A, Atlanta Braves) with a 4-3 win on Tuesday night at AutoZone Park.
Memphis reliever Chris Roycroft (S, 1) allowed a leadoff double in the top of the ninth inning. A wild pitch later, the tying run stood at third with no out in the frame. Memphis Drops Series Finale at Charlotte, Split Series
April 12, 2026 - CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Memphis Redbirds dropped the finale of a six-game series at the Charlotte Knights (Triple-A, Chicago White Sox) by a 13-4 score on Sunday afternoon at Truist Field.
Memphis jumped in front early in the loss as it has all season. Catcher Leo Bernal ripped an RBI double to make the score 2-0. Left fielder Nelson Velázquez followed with an RBI single. Velázquez finished the game 2-for-4, the only multi-hit efforts from a Redbirds batter.
