Ontario Reign News Release

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, defending Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, announced that goaltender Chris Carrozzi was recalled to the St. John's IceCaps of the AHL as a result of the Winnipeg Jets recalling Eddie Pasquale.

This is the 22-year-old's second AHL call up of the season. While with St. John's earlier this year, Carrozzi appeared in a portion of one game where he stopped all six shots faced.

With the Reign, the Nepean, Ontario native has played in 23 games with 16-6-1 record. He has recorded a 2.92 goals-against average and 0.882 save percentage in that time.

Carrozzi earned ECHL Goaltender of the Week honors for the week of October 29 through November 4 with a 1.67 goals-against average and a save percentage of 0.938 stopping 75 of 80 shots. He went through the week with 122:40 of consecutive shutout time.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound goalie was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the sixth round, #154 overall, of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
