December 1, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL) Stockton Thunder

ONTARIO, Calif. - Colton Yellow Horn finished off a rally by the Ontario Reign with a game winning goal just 27 seconds into sudden death overtime, sending the Stockton Thunder (11-5-2, 24 points) to a 5-4 overtime loss at Citizens Business Bank Arena on Friday.

Yannick Riendeau poked a backhander through Chris Carrozzi's five hole for a breakaway goal to open the scoring at 2:29 of the first period for a 1-0 Thunder lead. Mario Lamoreux responded with a one timer from the mid slot to tie the game with 8:45 elapsed.

The Thunder claimed their second lead of the night at 2-1 when Harrison Reed finished Garet Hunt's centering pass from behind the net with 3:09 remaining in the period.

Nathan Deck extended the Thunder lead to 3-1 with a goal on the rush in the third period, beating Carrozzi under the crossbar after completing a feed from Riendeau at 1:17. Lamoureux's second goal of the game cut the deficit to 3-2 at 9:28 when he stashed a rebound at the goal mouth.

C.J. Stretch tied the game at 12:54 of the third period on a deflection at the goal mouth, but the Thunder responded after Ontario committed consecutive penalties for another 5-on-3 situation.

Reed blistered a slap shot by Carrozzi from the slot for a 4-3 Thunder lead and a power play goal with 5:22 left in regulation.

Before Ontario pulled Carrozzi for an extra attacker, Chris Huxley buried a rebound at the goal mouth with 1:13 to go for a 4-4 tie.

Yellow Horn ended the game on a wrist shot from the right circle with 27 seconds elapsed in overtime.
