P-Bruins Announce Roster Moves

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, in their 20th season in the American Hockey League, today announced that they have loaned forward Kyle MacKinnon to the Reading Royals of the ECHL and released forward Adam Presizniuk from his tryout agreement.

MacKinnon, 24, has recorded 1+12 totals in 19 games for Providence this season. A native of Walnut, CA, MacKinnon joined the P-Bruins for five games at the end of last season, tallying one goal and two assists. The forward is a four-year product of Providence College. As a co-captain in 2010-11, MacKinnon led the Friars in goals scored for the second consecutive year and recorded a career-high 14 goals in 2010-11. He finished his collegiate career with 71 points on 37 goals and 34 assists.

Last season, the Royals clinched first place in the Atlantic Division with a 44-23-2-3 record. The club advanced to the second round of the playoffs, before falling to the Kalamazoo Wings in four games. MacKinnon joins former P-Bruins Rob Kwiet, Yannick Riendeau, Olivier Labelle, Marvin Degonand Karel St. Laurent.

A native of Calgary, AB, Presizniuk went scoreless in two games for Providence since being signed to a Professional Tryout Agreement on November 23. The 25 year-old made his professional debut with the Trenton Titans (ECHL) on October 14. In 15 games with the Titans this season, the forward has recorded 3+710 totals and two penalty minutes.

Presizniuk is a four-year product of the Union College. As an assistant captain in 2010-11, Presizniuk recorded 12 goals and 21 assists for 33 points. The 6'0", 180 lb. forward led the Dutchmen in scoring as a sophomore with a career-high 16 goals and 38 points. Union's most valuable player in 2008-09, his 38 points set a school record and he became only the third Dutchmen in Division I history to lead the team in points, goals and assists in the same season. The 24-year-old finished his collegiate career with 131 points on 48 goals and 83 assists.

After a three-game road trip, the P-Bruins return to The Dunk on Friday, December 2 for a 7:05 p.m. tilt with the Connecticut Whale for "BankRI Rally Towel Night." Rally towels are free to the first 3,000 fans. The team travels to New Hampshire on Saturday to face the Manchester Monarchs in a 7:00 p.m. contest at Verizon Wireless Arena. The P-Bruins have a rare Sunday off.
