Jake Gannon Loaned to Peoria

Las Vegas, Nevada - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley today announced that captain and defenseman Jake Gannon has been loaned to the AHL's Peoria Rivermen. Utah returns to action tonight and tomorrow in Las Vegas. Face-off both nights is scheduled for 8:05 p.m.

Gannon caught an early morning flight out of Las Vegas and will join the St. Louis Blues top affiliate tonight in Milwaukee. The Utah captain departs with one goal and four assists for five points in seven games.

The Illinois native split his rookie season last year between Utah and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

In addition, Utah will activate second-year defenseman Matt Clarke who will make his season debut tonight after suffering a preseason injury. Forward Brent Gauvreau (two goals, one assist, four games) also returns to the lineup this evening after missing the trip to Idaho last week.
