
Stingrays Gameday: Stingrays Celebrate Opening Night Tonight Against Everblades

North Charleston, SC -The South Carolina Stingrays celebrate their 18th season of hockey in the Lowcountry tonight against the Florida Everblades at 7:05 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum. Catch all the action live on Fox Sports Radio 1450 and at www.stingrayshockey.com. Tonight is the first of 13 scheduled meetings between the two teams this season.
Tonight is FREE PARKING night, Military Appreciation Night with Force Protection, 100.9 WAY FM Family Friday and Magnetic Schedule Giveaway, courtesy of Comcast!
Come early and jam with Stingrays great Dave Seitz and the King Street Band as they perform outside the main entrance (International Blvd.) from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Opening Weekend continues tomorrow, Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7 against the Everblades at 7:05 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at North Charleston Coliseum. Saturday is Boy Scout Night and Domestic Violence Awareness Night! Warm Feet Happy Hearts will be at the main entrance collecting socks to donate to local children in need. Please bring a package of new socks to the game and support a great cause!

Connelly Returns
Goaltender Shane Connelly returns to the Stingrays after being acquired from the Elmira Jackals. Connelly currently ranks second among ECHL goaltenders with a 1.50 goals-against average and first with a .957 save percentage.
Taking the Bite Out of the Everblades
The Stingrays are 47-43-12 all-time against the Everblades and went 6-4-2-1 during the 2009-10 season.
We Have The Power
The Stingrays' power play is currently ranked fourth in the ECHL at 23.1 percent, scoring six goals on 26 opportunities.
The Best Offense is a Good Defense
Stingrays defenseman Josh Godfrey leads the team in goals (4) and is ranked third among ECHL defensemen with six points (4g, 2a).
