Dallas Recalls Warren Peters From Texas

Cedar Park, TX - The Dallas Stars announced on Friday that the club has recalled center Warren Peters from the Texas Stars, Dallas' primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). The Texas Stars have announced that left wing Michael Neal has been recalled from the Idaho Steelheads.

Peters, 27, has played 32 games for Texas so far this season, recording 18 points (12g, 6a) and 21 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in two games for Dallas, collecting a goal. The 6-0, 198-pound center signed with Dallas as a free agent on July 6, 2009.

Neal returns to Texas after playing in 32 games with the Idaho Steelheads. Neal scored four goals and added seven assists for 11 points. The 20-year old Neal played in three games for Texas in October, going scoreless with a -2 rating. Neal was drafted by Dallas in the fifth round (#149 overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. The Whitby, ON native is the younger brother of current Dallas Stars forward James Neal.

The Stars play back-to-back games in Abbotsford, BC on Friday, Jan. 8 and Saturday, Jan. 9. Friday night's faceoff is set for 9:30 pm (CST) with Saturday's game starting at 6:00 pm (CST). The Stars return home to host San Antonio at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at Cedar Park Center. The first 3,000 fans receive a Texas Stars Puck Bottle Opener. The Stars will also host the Toronto Marlies at 7:30 PM on Friday, Jan. 15, handing out Texas Stars Fleece Blankets to the first 2,000 fans. Also, fans will be able to purchase $2.00 domestic drafts and $1.00 hot dogs. All games can be heard on the Stars flagship station ESPNAustin 104.9 FM "The Horn" or ESPNAustin 1530-AM.

Tickets for any of the Stars 40 regular season home games at Cedar Park Center are on sale, starting as low as $9.00 a seat.
