Canucks Recall Evan Oberg

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, today announced they have recalled defenceman Evan Oberg from the Moose.

Oberg, 21, has played in 33 games so far this season for the Moose and has collected 13 points (1g & 12a) along with 26 penalty minutes. The rookie out of Forestburg, AB scored his first-ever professional goal Dec. 27/09 vs. Abbotsford and is currently the leading scorer amongst defencemen on the Moose.

Oberg spent the previous two seasons at the University of Minnesota-Duluth where he appeared in 67 games for the Bulldogs and scored 30 points (8g & 22a) along with 60 penalty minutes.
