Moose Sign Jimmy Sharrow To PTO

The Manitoba Moose today announced they have signed defenceman Jimmy Sharrow to a professional tryout contract.
Sharrow, 24, has appeared in 25 games with the Victoria Salmon Kings this season where he has accumulated 21 points (7g & 14a) and 12 penalty minutes. He started the season with the Wheeling Nailers were he appeared in four games and compiled two points (1g & 1a).
The 6'2, 198-pound defenceman has already appeared in 61 career games over two seasons with the Moose (07-08). In that span, the Framingham, MA native has scored 28 points (6g & 22a) and 30 penalty minutes. He was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks last season on Dec. 9/08 in exchange for a conditional draft pick. Sharrow has played in 150 career games in the American Hockey League with Manitoba and the Chicago Wolves where he's collected 65 points (12g & 53a) and 85 penalty minutes.
Sharrow was originally drafted by Atlanta in the fourth round, 110th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
