IceDogs Sweep Home-And-Home against Steelheads for Third Straight Win
December 30, 2025 - After claiming a 4-3 win Sunday afternoon, the Niagara IceDogs returned to the ice Monday night at the CAA Centre to face the Brampton Steelheads for the second time in two days. The rematch proved to be just as close as Sunday's game, as it took a full 60-minute effort for the IceDogs to earn the win. Niagara's top scorers and some late-game dominance in the crease proved to be the difference.

Newly Minted Captain Czata Lifts IceDogs over Steelheads
December 28, 2025 - The Niagara IceDogs came out of the holiday break with a leadership shakeup and a big win over their Central Division rivals, the Brampton Steelheads. The IceDogs were at home for a Sunday afternoon game at the Meridian Centre, but before the 2 p.m. puck drop, the IceDogs made a blockbuster trade, sending captain Kevin He to the Flint Firebirds. IceDogs Name Ethan Czata as 20th Captain in Franchise History
December 28, 2025 - The Niagara IceDogs have announced that forward Ethan Czata will serve as the 20th captain in franchise history.
Czata became a member of the IceDogs in 2023 when he was drafted No. 5 Overall in the first round of the 2023 OHL Priority Selection. In June, Czata was selected 56th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.

IceDogs Trade He, Acquire Hull and Picks from Firebirds
December 28, 2025 - The Niagara IceDogs have traded captain Kevin He, Niagara's 2029 second round pick, Brantford's 2026 fourth and the rights to Darcy Dewachter to the Flint Firebirds.
In return the IceDogs acquire Chase Hull, two 2026 second round draft picks (via PBO and SOO), a 2027 third round draft pick (via OS), a 2028 third round draft pick (via PBO), a 2029 third draft pick (via FLNT), a 2028 fourth round draft pick (via KGN), and a 2027 sixth round draft pick (via FLNT).
