April 18, 2024 - Fayetteville, NC - For the second time in three games the Fayetteville Woodpeckers (8-4) pitching staff spun a shutout, striking out 16 Fredericksburg Nationals (7-5) Thursday in a 4-0 victory at Virginia Credit Union Stadium. Four arms in Alonzo Tredwell, Kelly Austin, Colby Langford and Amilcar Chirinos combined to blank the Carolina League's top scoring offense. April 18, 2024 - HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. - The SPHL announced its 2023-24 All-SPHL Second Team selections Thursday, which included Fayetteville Marksmen rookie forward Simon Boyko. Boyko, 25, was named to the All-Rookie team Wednesday after skated in 39 games for Fayetteville during the 2023-24 season, and tallying 56 points (27G+29A). USA Baseball Returns to Segra Stadium for Two Games this Summer
April 18, 2024 - FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Fayetteville Woodpeckers are excited to announce that USA Baseball is returning to play two games this summer at Segra Stadium. June 29th will feature the USA Collegiate National Team vs. Chinese Taipei as Game 1 of the 21st USA vs. Chinese Taipei International Friendship Series. April 17, 2024 - Fayetteville, NC - The Fayetteville Woodpeckers (7-4) fell behind big over the course of Wednesday afternoon's contest, allowing a season-high 16 runs and 17 hits in a 16-7 loss to the Fredericksburg Nationals (7-4) at Virginia Credit Union Stadium. The bullpen was asked to record 25 of 27 outs after starter Ethan Pecko (L, 0-1) surrendered a pair of runs in the first inning and had to depart due to pitch limitations.
