January 3, 2026 - As the teams came into their third weekend series of the season Topeka had secured wins on the Friday night matchup while Biloxi won the Saturday night game. January 2, 2026 - Topeka continued a five-game road trip down south in Biloxi with their first game at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. All four previous games took place in Topeka and resulted in a 2-2 series tie.Coming into 2026 both squads looked to climb in the standings.

December 31, 2025 - Topeka made their final trip to Baton Rouge this season on New Year's Eve looking to bring in a new year with a win and snap a two game losing streak while the Zydeco came in trying to solve the Scarecrows which has been a difficulty for them through six games this season.

December 29, 2025 - The Topeka Scarecrows of the Federal Prospects Hockey League claimed Kyle Heitzner off waivers and subsequently loaned him to the ECHL's Tulsa Oilers, affiliate of the AHL's San Diego Gulls and the NHL's Anaheim Ducks.
Heitzner, a 26-year-old forward, has played 17 games for the Blue Ridge Bobcats after splitting last season between Watertown, Monroe and Columbus.
