
Zephyrs Fall in Albuquerque, Lose Five Players to Miami

Albuquerque, New Mexico - The Albuquerque Isotopes jumped on the Zephyrs fast sending nine batters to the plate and scoring four first inning runs and went on to defeat the Z's 11-1 on Monday afternoon in front of 5,503 fans at Isotopes Park.
The first place Zephyrs lost five players to promotion within the last 24 hours and came out a bit flat on Monday afternoon. The Miami Marlins promoted Sam Dyson on Sunday. Prior to the game on Monday pitchers Andrew Heaney, Anthony DeSclafani, outfielder Jake Marisnick and first basemen Justin Bour all received word of their call-ups to the Big Leagues.
The Isotopes jumped on Zephyr starter Brian Flynn (6-5) in the first inning. The Isotopes scored eight runs on Flynn in five innings and he suffered the defeat.
The Topes got a pair of home runs in the game both two run shots from Clint Robinson and Tim Federowicz.
Carlos Frias (4-4) was fantastic pitching eight innings, allowed one run on four hits.
The Z's (38-33) have won 18 of their last 25 games.
GAME NOTES
The Zephyrs have homered in 13 of their 15 games in June and lead the PCL with 28 homers in the month of June. Mark Canha was hitless in four at bats, snapping a seven game hit streak.
