Yard Goats to Host Sikorsky for Home Run for Heroes Charity

Hartford, Conn - The Hartford Yard Goats Baseball Club, the Double-A Eastern League Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, has announced it will host Sikorsky for its annual "Home Run for Heroes" charity tomorrow night (Saturday, August 3rd) at Dunkin' Donuts Park. A check presentation with Sikorsky President Dan Schultz, will take place on the field prior to the Yard Goats 6:05 PM game, and this year's event will include a job fair for veterans. All media is welcome to cover the event and Schultz will be available to speak with media.

Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company (NYSE: LMT) and Teamsters Local 1150 have raised more than $500,000 for local veterans with the "Home Run for Heroes" charity baseball game since 2011. This year's game features the Hartford Yard Goats against the New York Yankees affiliate, the Trenton Thunder and will conclude with a military appreciation post game fireworks display presented by Sikorsky. The Home Run for Heroes charity will benefit the following veterans' charities and Community Heath Charities:

- The Connecticut Fallen Heroes Foundation - an organization founded at Sikorsky to honor and recognize the families of those who have fallen in the service of our country.

- The Connecticut Veterans Legal Center - a legal services organization that helps veterans overcome legal barriers to housing, healthcare and income.

- The Harkness House/Columbus House - a transitional housing facility in New Haven for homeless veterans.

- Female Soldiers: Forgotten Heroes - a community-based transitional home dedicated to homeless female veterans and their children.
