Wiseman's Slam Leads Attack in 11-2 Triumph

Rhett Wiseman hit a grand slam to cap a seven-run third inning and lead the Sens to an 11-2 win over Richmond Friday night at FNB Field. The Flying Squirrels scored twice in the first inning to take a 2-0 lead. Harrisburg scored seven runs in the third, three in the fourth and one more in the sixth to cruise to the win. Tres Barrera also homered in the game. Tyler Mapes set a career high in strikeouts with 10, going eight innings to earn the win.

On Capitol Hill

Tyler Mapes tossed eight innings and struck out 10 batters, a career high, and earned his fifth win on the season. He retired 10 straight hitters between the third and sixth innings.

Andrew Istler pitched his first inning for the Senators, a scoreless ninth.

With the Gavel

Tres Barrera had two hits, drove in two and scored three runs. He a solo home run, his seventh HR this season.

Rhett Wiseman hit his third home run in a week, a grand slam, to cap the Sens seven run third inning.

Andrew Stevenson and Luis Garcia both had two hits for Harrisburg.

Filibusters

- Harrisburg leads the season series against Richmond 8-3

- The grand slam by Wiseman was the Sens fourth grand slam this season.

- The 11 runs equals the Senators season high.

The Senators play the Richmond Flying Squirrels in game two of their three-game series Saturday night at FNB Field at 6 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 5:50 p.m.
