Coley: Tossed five shutout innings and surrendered four hits and four K's on 7/11 @ GBO (1-0 Hoppers)

THE LEAD OFF: West Virginia's offense was limited to four hits on Thursday's loss to the Hagerstown Suns at Appalachian Power Park. The night started off promising as Colten Brewer retired each of the first six batters he faced including a perfect second in which he struck out the side in order. However, the right hander stumbled in the third inning and surrendered three runs which included a two-run single by Dale Carey and an RBI fielder's choice from Jose Marmolejos. Brewer fell into a groove with three straight scoreless frames but surrendered two runs in the seventh. Michael Suchy went 2-for-4 with a couple singles and Dovydas Neverauskas worked two scoreless innings in relief.

MUSTACHED WARRIORS: The Power continue the homestand with the opening game of the series against the Lexington Legends tonight at Appalachian Power Park. This is the first time the Power have seen the Royals' Class-A affiliate since the five-game series in late April. The Power are 6-2 against Lexington this year and hold a 104-97 record all-time against them. The two teams will meet again twice in late August. West Virginia leads the all-time series 104-97.

FINALLY ON THE BOARD: With four plate appearances on Thursday, Power outfielder Jerrick Suiter has finally accumulated enough plate appearances to qualify among the batting leaders in the South Atlantic League. His .306 batting average is the 11th best in the league and the best among all West Virginia Power hitters. Suiter missed most of May due to an oblique strain. Cole Tucker ranks second on the team with a .287 batting average.

INCHING TOWARDS RECORDS: Tonight's starter Austin Coley is going for his league-best 11th win of the season. Evan Anundsen from the 2008 club leads the franchise with 12 wins. Coley's ten wins matches him with Will Inman (2006) and Rudy Owens (2009) for the second most in Power history. Additionally, reliever Nick Neumann leads the team with 11 saves, tied for fifth most all-time in franchise history. Nate Kilcrease from the 2012 team tallied 15 saves to lead the franchise.

ROUND TRIP TO TORONTO: Tito Polo was placed on the Temporary Inactive List so the outfielder could participate in the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto. Representing Colombia, Polo is 2-for-13 with one home run and was the leadoff hitter in the first three games while serving as a pinch-hitter in the loss to Nicaragua. Polo did not play against Puerto Rico on Wednesday. Baseball at the Pan-Am games concludes on Saturday.

RELIABILITY: The Power bullpen has only allowed ten earned runs over 62.0 innings pitched in the second half this season for a combined 1.45 earned run average. For the year, the combined bullpen ERA is 2.76. The bullpen has not had a combined ERA lower than the starting pitchers over a full season since 2012.

PROMO UPDATE - JULY 18: The first 1,000 fans to the ballpark on Saturday, July 18 will receive a New River Gorge Bridge Replica presented by Appalachian Power Park. Following the game, fans can enjoy postgame fireworks and all scouts who registered for scout night can sleep in the outfield of Appalachian Power Park.
