
Full Week of RiverDogs Promotions Starts Wednesday at the Joe

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Following a week on the road and a rare off day on Tuesday, the Charleston RiverDogs happily return to Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. The Delmarva Shorebirds (Orioles affiliate) visit the Lowcountry for three games followed by four games against the Greenville Drive (Red Sox affiliate) in the Battle of the Palmetto State presented by Spinx.
Wednesday, July 22, 7:05 pm: Every Wednesday home game at The Joe is a HealthSouth Senior Wednesday, presented by MeTV. Seniors who enter the park before 7 o'clock receive a food voucher for a complimentary hot dog, 16-ounce fountain drink and bag of chips. It is also Hump Day presented by Z93 and Continuing Legal Education Night at The Joe. CLE Night, in memory of local attorney Stanley Feldman who passed away last year, will be presented once again by South Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Jean Toal. The seminar begins at 4 pm and includes 2.0 credits in ethics, networking, an all-you-can-eat picnic and a ticket to the game. Thursday, July 23, 7:05 pm: This is the seventh of 10 Thirsty Thursdays during the season. Enjoy "Happy Hour" with $1 beers and music in the Ashley View Pub presented by Budweiser. DJ Natty Heavy will once again spin popular tunes throughout the game, presented by 95SX. Thursday is also Go Green Night sponsored by Charleston County Environmental Management. Every Thursday going forward, the RiverDogs will be paying homage to the standard red Solo cup, everybody's favorite beverage receptacle. During the Seventh Inning Stretch after "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," the Red Solo Cup song will play in the stadium and all fans in attendance will toast to the red Solo cup.
Friday, July 24, 7:05 pm: Join us as we celebrate 40 years of service of our mayor and facility's namesake, the Honorable Joseph P. Riley, Jr. The first 1,000 fans will receive a commemorative Joe Riley figurine, courtesy of BenefitFocus. Friday is the eighth ISHPI Red Shirt Friday of the season and is presented by WEZL, with postgame fireworks over the scenic Ashley River presented by Home Telecom. Support the military by wearing red and when you come to the box office, you can receive $1 off your ticket. Fans will then have the option to donate that dollar to the Wounded Warrior Corps. The RiverDogs will once again wear their special red jerseys as a show of support for our military.
Saturday, July 25, 6:05 pm: Saturday is the RiverDogs' 16th annual Kindness Beats Blindness Auction, presented by 101.7 Chuck FM. The RiverDogs partner with MUSC Storm Eye Institute to raise funds for researching Retinitis Pigmentosa with all proceeds benefiting the MUSC Storm Eye Institute. Ever dream of rounding third base and heading for home at The Joe? Saturday night is another chance to make that dream come true as kids are able to run around the diamond every Saturday, with the Postgame Kids Run the Bases program presented by CPI Security Systems. Sunday, July 26, 5:05 pm: Every Sunday at The Joe is a Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission Kids Club Sunday, presented by Y102.5. Parking is free and kids 12-under eat free courtesy of Pepsi. They will receive a coupon for a hot dog, fountain drink and chips. All members of the RiverDogs Kids Club receive free admission to every Family Sunday Game. The RiverDogs Kids Club, known as the RiverPups, is free to join and open to all kids 12-and-under. Sunday is also National Dance Day, so bring your dancing shoes and get ready to dance the night away at the ballpark. The entire night will be one giant dance party full of fan cams, dance music, and dance competitions. Prizes will be awarded to the best, worst, and funniest dancers in the stadium. Monday, July 27, 7:05 pm: Celebrate baseball's past in the Lowcountry as the RiverDogs pay tribute to the Charleston Rainbows - the team's nickname prior to RiverDogs - for the second year in a row. The team will be wearing Rainbows throwback uniforms, courtesy of Dudley's on Ann and Charleston Pride, which will be auctioned off through a silent auction during the game. Every Monday at The Joe is Coors Monday Night Baseball, presented by Kickin' 92.5. Visit the Ashley View Pub for $1 hot dogs and $1 draft beers as the RiverDogs spoof Monday Night Football. Dogs With a Cause will feature the Arthritis Foundation and Jingle Run, a 5K race that benefits arthritis research. Tuesday, July 28, 12:05 pm: Enjoy Big Splash Day as The Joe is transformed from a BALLpark to a WATERpark for the day (note the special start time of 12:05 pm). Don't care to get wet? We will have dry zones set up throughout the stadium as well. Whether it is your first date or you have been together for decades, bring your special someone to Miller Lite Tuesday Date Day at The Joe, presented by NASH FM. On the main concourse, we will have our Miller Lite "Bro Zone" set up where bros can grab a beer, relax, play some cornhole and enjoy the game. For this Tuesday afternoon home game, any duo of fans will receive a special 2-for-$20 deal at the box office. The promotion includes two game tickets, two fountain drinks, two slices of pizza, and one bag of popcorn all for $20. Whether you have a significant other or just want to hang out with a friend, come to The Joe and enjoy Tuesday's spectacular promotion.
