Wranglers Stunned by Aces, 3-0

Las Vegas, NV - In their first meeting of the 2010-11 season, the Las Vegas Wranglers® were defeated by the visiting Alaska Aces, 3-0. Alaska goaltender Gerald Coleman earned his fourth win of the season making 31 saves to shutout the Wranglers. Las Vegas netminder Michael Ouzas earned his first loss of the season as he turned away 27 of 30 shots. Neither team was able to capitalize on the power play going zero for ten combined.

The first period saw no goals from either team as both goaltenders turned away a combined 25 shots.

The second period saw a pair of goals from the Aces. The first tally came from Chad Langkow at the 2:53 mark with an assist from Zach Harrison. The Aces took a two-goal lead at the 17:32 mark with a goal from Chad Anderson, assisted by Jerad Stewart and captain Scott Burt.

The Aces closed out the game with a third goal in the final period from Jerad Stewart assisted by Ethan Cox at the :40 mark.

The Wranglers look to bounce back off their first consecutive losses of the seasons as they host Utah next Friday, November 5th, at the Orleans Arena. The puck drops at 7:05 pm.
