
Wranglers Double Down On Condors, Win 4-2

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Bakersfield Condors 4-2 on Friday night in front of 3,929 fans at the Orleans Arena. Center Chris Ferraro scored twice and goalie Brent Krahn stopped 20 Bakersfield shots to preserve the victory. Las Vegas forward Justin Taylor scored a goal and added an assist as the Wranglers improved to 3-1-0 at home this year. Center Chris Neiszner added a goal and rookie winger J.D. Watt dished out two assists in the win. Las Vegas will host Phoenix at 7:30 PM on Saturday night.
The Wranglers tallied the only goal of the first period as Justin Taylor snapped a pass to the Bakersfield crease for Chris Neiszner. The Las Vegas forward redirected the puck into the net at 7:18 for the 1-0 Wranglers lead.
Just 53-seconds into the second period, Bakersfield tied the game 1-1. Left wing Mark Derlago swatted a bouncing puck into the Las Vegas net for his fifth goal of the year. Las Vegas struck back, J.D. Watt set up Chris Ferraro alone in front of the Bakersfield net. Ferraro scored his third goal of the season, beating Dave McKee at 2:58 for the 2-1 lead. Bakersfield countered to tie the game with a power-play goal at 5:22. Condors' defenseman Tyler Scott floated a shot through traffic and into the back of the Las Vegas net for his second goal of the year. Las Vegas took the lead for good at 15:42. Ferraro scored his second goal of the night off a deflection of a Mike Madill shot from the blue-line. Ferraro's fourth goal of the season gave the Wranglers a 3-2 lead heading into the final period of play.
In the third period, Justin Taylor picked off a loose puck in the Bakersfield zone and beat goalie Dave McKee with a backhand shot. Taylor's first goal of the season and first as a Wrangler, gave Las Vegas a 4-2 win.
Las Vegas hosts Phoenix on Saturday, November 8th at 7:30 PM. The first 2,500 fans receive a Dunkin Donuts Coffee Cup.
