Trenton Devils News Release

TRENTON, N.J. - The Dayton Bombers dominated the game from start to finish as they defeated the Trenton Devils Saturday night at Sovereign Bank Arena, 5-1.

Nino Musitelli started the scoring 8:28 into the contest with his second goal of the season. Greg Labenski doubled the Dayton lead 46 seconds later to make the score 2-0.

The Bombers scored two more goals in the second period, as Jarett Lukin and Musitelli potted home goals in the period to give the Bombers a 4-0 lead after 40 minutes of play.

Musitelli completed his hat trick 57 seconds into the third when his wrist shot beat Devils goaltender Jason Smith. Eric Castonguay put Trenton on the board with 8:43 left in the game to end David Shantz's shutout bid and continue his own point-scoring streak to nine. That was all the Trenton offense could muster as they would lose 5-1.

The Devils were outshot in the game 39 to 26, as the Bombers kept consistent pressure on Smith throughout the evening.

On the plus side for Trenton, Brett Pilkington had an assist on the Castonguay goal, which gives him assists in each game that he has played for Trenton.

The Trenton Devils return to action on the road Friday, November 14 against the Johnstown Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. Fans can listen or watch the broadcast on www.trentondevils.com, courtesy of B2 Networks.
