Las Vegas - Battling for first place in the ECHL's Pacific division, the Las Vegas Wranglers won 2-1 over the Ontario Reign tonight in a shootout match on the road.

Ontario took the first lead of the night just six minutes into the game. At 6:21, Reign forward Geoff Irwin tallied his 16th goal of the season for a 1-0 lead. The Wranglers, outshot 9-6 by the Reign in the first, were unable to tie the game until eight minutes into the second when center Judd Blackwater scored on goaltender Jean-Francois Berube and made it a 1-1 game. With Wranglers left wing Adam Miller registering an assist on the goal, he collected his 207th point as a Las Vegas Wrangler and set a new club record, previously held by Wranglers center Tyler Mosienko (206 points).

Berube and Wranglers goaltender Mitch O'Keefe held the third period scoreless, forcing overtime and a shootout. Wranglers centers Chris Francis and Blackwater recorded shootout goals to beat the lone shootout goal from Reign forward Kyle Kraemer, giving Las Vegas the 2-1 win and the team's first win at Citizens Business Bank Arena this season.
