
Kenny Ryan Recalled to Toronto Marlies

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Kenny Ryan has been recalled by the Maple Leafs and assigned to the Marlies. In a separate transaction, forward Casey Haines was loaned to the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL.
Ryan, a first year pro from Franklin, Michigan, was assigned to Reading on January 5. In twenty-nine games with the Royals, he registered twenty-one points (12g-9a) and eighteen penalty minutes. In thirteen games with the Marlies this year, Ryan has scored one goal and picked up nine penalty minutes. This is the first trip this year to the AHL for Haines, a second year pro from Indiana, Pennsylvania. In forty-four games with the Royals this year, Haines has scored eleven goals and assisted on sixteen others (twenty-seven points) and picked up twenty-eight penalty minutes. Last year, Haines played an AHL game with the Lake Erie Monsters without registering any points or penalty minutes.
The Royals are back in action tonight (Saturday, March 10, 2012 @ 7:05 pm) when the Trenton Titans visit the Sovereign Center. The first 2500 fans in attendance will receive a Royals team trading card set courtesy of Rieck's Printing. Saturday's game night broadcast will start at 6:35 pm with the Red Robin Gourmet Burger Pre-Game Warm-up Show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Reading.
