The Senators struck first in the top of the second inning against Erie starter Danny Christensen. Edgaro Baez led off with a single, stole second and got to third on a passed ball. With two outs, Seth Bynum singled home Baez to put the Sens ahead 1-0.
The SeaWolves battled back to take the lead in the bottom of the third against Harrisburg starter Cory Van Allen. James Skelton and Caonabo Cosme connected on back-to-back singles with one out. Will Rhymes singled home Skelton, tying the game at 1-1. Casper Wells followed with his second triple in as many night, scoring Cosme and Rhymes, putting the âWolves ahead 3-1. With two outs, Ryan Roberson doubled home Wells for a 4-1 Erie lead.
The Senators cut into the lead in the top of the fifth when Mike Daniel led off with a single and was brought home on Ian Desmond's ninth home run of the season to make it a 4-3 game.
Erie added to the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Wilkin Ramirez doubled home Wells to put Erie up by a pair at 5-3.
